The Chakka Jam, in the literal sense one can call it the slowdown of the wheel, it is a situation of a jam or a blockage wherein the cycle of an individual, w.r.t. achieving his goal, gets struck at a particular point. The Theory acts as a Model to find the ‘way out’. The objectives of the paper are to identify the factors affecting the goal achievement and to develop a model for evaluating and channelizing different factors for the achievement of the goals. The Internal factors of the individuals are considered for this study and External factors are excluded. The experiment was conducted on 61 candidates, wherein they were asked to specify their goal, the strengths which are important to achieve the goal and weaknesses which may create hindrance towards achieving the goal. Each case is critically analyzed and a suitable model is suggested.
The Chakka Jam, in the literal sense one can call it the slowdown of the wheel, it is a situation of a jam or a blockage wherein the cycle of an individual, w.r.t. achieving his goal, gets struck at a particular point and he/she is unable to come out of it and bring it back in motion. It is a situation where in an individual wants to achieve some goal, where the individual has set some target for himself, but he has got struck in between the path and now he/she is helpless or is unable to move ahead.
This theory can be better understood by taking the example of a wheel, its spokes and axle. As we are aware that axle of a wheel is fixed at one place, which means it does not leave its position, the spokes are then connected with the axle and the rim of the wheel gets connected with the spokes. Now the axle can be considered as a goal/target of an individual, the strengths and weaknesses which are associated with achievement of the particular goal acts like the spokes. We know that if the spokes of any wheel are misaligned the wheel cannot move further, similarly if the strengths and weaknesses of an individual are misaligned, it can slowdown the goal achievement process.
The Chakka Jam Theory acts as a Model to find the ‘way out’ in a situation where an individual is facing a slowdown in the process of goal achievement.
At present the research is at a phase where ‘way outs’ are suggested (using Chakka Jam Theory) to the candidates, in the next phase we will be taking the review of the candidates.
